Receives, stores, counts, and distributes products within establishments by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Verifies correctness of inventory by counting product daily. Assist supervisor in receiving and shipping inventory. Maintains organized warehouse by stocking inventory in proper locations. Maintains clean warehouse by cleaning work area as needed. Transfers products from our Raleigh warehouse to both our East and West warehouses via Company vehicle. Assists delivery force by delivering both wine and beer “hot shots” to retail customers when necessary. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms. Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items as appropriate. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping area. Marks materials with identifying information. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
Maintains inventory records. Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records. Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors/investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Stocks and issues materials or merchandise. Cleans and repacks damaged merchandise. Performs any other duties as deemed necessary by management.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ABC permit or eligibility, Clean and valid NC Drivers license, Forklift certification, or ability to achieve certification.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
